Stormwater Management Workshop

Time/Date:
March 18, 2010 - 5:30pm - 7:30pm

StormwaterAs you know, Springfield Township has more than its share of stormwater problems.  Most of the Township was built out prior to the adoption of good stormwater design practices and little attention was paid thereto by the developers.  With over 7000 homes and many steep hills, the water has no place to go during heavy rains.  The Commissioners are trying to look at things more comprehensively as a first step to addressing some of the bigger problems.  To that end, we are trying to get a list of stormwater problems experienced by our residents.  We will be holding a two-hour open house this Thursday to allow people place pins on a map and report the nature of their problem.

The Stormwater workshop will be from 5:30 to 7:30pm on Thursday, March 18 at the Township Building.  There will not be a formal presentation and we expect people will come, fill out the form and be on their way.  We will have maps of each of the seven Wards and the Commissioners will be by their respective maps to listen to the concerns.

If you can’t make the meeting, you can click here to fill out the form.
