Richard, who has served as a committee member and chair of the Springfield Democrats, is a trial attorney who has represented victims of discrimination, abuse and neglect for over thirty years. He  is "highly recommended" by the Montgomery County Bar Association regarding his qualifications, demeanor and experience to become a judge and endorsed by the Montgomery county democratic Committee. Mr. Haaz is also "AV" rated which is the highest rating awarded by his peers.
